Wild Roots community Garden was filled with creations and installations that were brimming with the hidden sounds of nature.

The event gave a snapshot of a conversation that began in workshops, where groups from Byker Primary School, St. Lawrence School, Toucan Education, The Stepney Bank Stables, Skills for People, and the Wild Roots garden community came to listen to the sounds of the beneath (the trees, the pond, and the compost) and responded creatively.

Local artists, who developed and facilitated the workshops, continued those conversations, responding further by creating the stories, songs, and soundscapes that were installed in the garden. This is an ongoing conversation.
